Lush Spa

Last week I was lucky enough to manage to get two whole days off work, now that might not seem like a lot to some people but a four day weekend was so welcome have nearly 3 months of getting up at 6am and home at 7! these days are long :( the suckyness of not being able to move out of your parents house eh?

Anyway I thought I'd use my days off wisely, monday was a lazy chill out day at home catching up on my oh so important tv shows and sleep. It was pretty damn good if I do say so myself haha. The second day was a bit more adventureous, me and a friend spent the day in Leeds, Christmas shopping (I love the lego store!), eating at Homemade Burger in the new Trinity shopping centre, seeing the new Hunger Games film and having a treatment in the Lush Spa, which is what my blog post today is going to be about!

I have the "Tailor Made" treatment, firstly we were lead down in to the spa thats under the main shop and greated by thee most friendliest people ever who were going to do our treatments. These two were so lovely and genuinely made us feel really comfortable and like we were chatting to friends!

My friend went for the "Validation" facial and got to step by step which lush products she wanted to use with it. I got shown the ones I could pick for mine one by one so I could really pick which ones I not only liked the smell of but ones which I felt would relax me the most. I was told what each bar could do and then which she thought would be best, I ended up picking Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar and the big Blue bath bomb which was put in a jug of water to create a lovely "by the sea" atmosphere & smell. My tailor made treatment was all about picking the area i'd like to be worked on and I chose my back (the danger of working at a desk-killer back ache).

After I was shown the products that would be used on me I was taken to the treatment room, it was lovely and cosy, candles burning, music playing old sea shanty songs to really set the atmosphere and an amazing heated massage bed. Being my first massage I was totally unsure what to expect but the woman so amazing, told me exactly where she was going to start and what would happen. The massage was great, a combination of pressure points to remove knots and deep massage. The massage bar made my skin so lovely and soft and the smell was amazing.

Afterwards I got to take as long as I liked before coming out in to the litttle reception area, there was a lovely mug of tea and biscuits waiting for me and a table layed out with flowers and cute little bits. I got to sit and drink my tea and really "come back" to reality after being so relaxed, I sat and chatted to my massage woman (don't know what else to call her! lol) and it was a really friendly and I felt like I could take all the time I needed. Then my friend finished her treatment and she was presented which a big jug of fruit an ice drink to complete her treatment. We both got to take home one of the items that was used one us for our treatments, I got the massage bar.

Over all it was such a good afternoon and experience! I can't wait to go back and try another one of their treatments, I totally have my eye on "the comforter" I'd recommend having a day out there if you fancy treating yourself and a friend!

Ebay Wish List

I'm still looking for work (this is fast become a horrible joke) but it means that I've taken to being very picky with how I spend my money, I might spend a few hours to so drooling over topshop and ASOS but I sadly can't really afford it on my huge 56.80 a week from the government (I hate having to write that) . So I've been looking at ebay for cheap knock offs or general bargains! these are all currently on my wish list and a lot of them are myself thinking ahead for winter, apart from that sneaky skirt that's managed to find it's way in there...my finger slipped...honest!

1) Parker Jacket, I really really need a new coat, my current one if one I bought from River Island over 6 years ago, it's great but started to look a little worn and it doesn't have a hood! something I curse whenever I get caught in the rain without a brolly!
2) Zara dupe, this is a lovely shade, and I thought it was a bit different from the usual black or white. Does list the colour as orange but on the images it does look more of a dusky pink!
3,5) Charcoal jumper & Green studded Jumper, I only own 2 jumpers...yep a huge amount I know! I've always kind of "winged" it in winter since we never got much snow in Bangor & everything was a 5min walk away where I went to university so I didn't really need lots and lots of jumpers. But  now I'm home I'm in desperate need of some, so I want to start with the basics!
4) Tartan Leggings, I love that everywhere has got tartan items this Autumn, I've already sneakily ordered myself a different pair of tartan leggings but these are another great pair I spotted! So easy to put on with something plain if you've no idea what to wear!
6) Heels, I bet everyones sick of seeing these on blogs but yes I want a pair, simple, lovely and go with everything. PLEASE job fairy get me a job so I can buy some!

There hasn't been any outfit posts as my camera has been out of action, so I'll try get it back to life asap!

What I'm Wearing

*Top New Look* Skirt River Island*Converse ASOS* Clutch Ebay*
So this is a little different to how I've layed out the other outfits, I had to do it like this mainly because the area I usually use was full of clutter (downstairs table) so I didn't have anywhere clean to put my clothes. Settled on my bedroom floor (after cleaning it!) I wore this on tuesday to go have lunch and then a cinema trip with a friend, lucily it didn't rain otherwise I'd have been screwed without a jacket!

Went to see a lovely little film called The Way Way Back and it was so so so good, if you love indie films which have quirky fun stories with a lot of emotion I'd go for it, if anyone ever seen Adventure Land it had a similar feel to that!

Most exciting thing I've done this week, the job hunt still continues and it's really getting my down lately. I haven't been looking as hard as I should because I'm feeling "what is the point" if I've had no luck these past 3 months. But realistically I can't (and wont) stop, even some temporary work would do right now because I'm SO bored of sitting at home most days. Plus it'd get me out of visiting the dreaded job centre again, ugh.

What I'm wearing

Monki Sleeveless Bodycon Dress

This is a quick post just to show you my latest little purchase, now I don't know about everyone else but ASOS is a very big weakness of mine, I'm constantly browsing on it and wish listing items because it has such a good range for petite girls (I sound like an advert but really my fav online window shopping place!) I "needed" a new dress which I could wear both for job interviews & for going out because of my very limited funds at the moment, and this is just above knee length so fits both purposes really!

Planning to wear it on saturday because my Dads having a 56th birthday party and we've got a whole load of people coming to the house to celebrate! Hope everyone has a fun weekend too!

There is also a picture of me wearing the dress on my instagram for people who want to see what it looks like on, I'll try give some proper outfit pictures a go in the future :)

Sunday TV: FRINGE

Screen Caps from CappingFringe.tumblr.com
I don't know about everyone else but I usually don't do much on Sundays, it's my day to be "lazy" (I hate that word because it's everyone own opinion as to what lazy is) but anyway It always has been and always will be my lazy day. I usually spend the day racing through whatever tv show I'm currently watching or rewatching (I'm boxset mad) .

This collage is for a lovely show called Fringe, it's honestly the best show I've seen in years, made me cry at how close you become to the characters and how much you end up feeling for them. In a nut shell it's about Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv), Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson), and Walter Bishop (John Noble), members of FBI "Fringe Division" team. The team uses "fringe" science and FBI investigative techniques to investigate a series of unexplained, often ghastly occurrences, which are related to mysteries surrounding a parallel universe. It has many "Freak of the week" episodes but also a running arc through the seasons, which culminates in Season 5,intermingling with the SciFi happenings are such tender, heartbreaking, emotional moments between Peter Bishop and his Father Walter as they've been estranged. Plus lots of "will they wont they" romance! (I wont spoil it!) I know I might not be describing it so well but it's really great and I'd honestly list it in my top 5 tv series.

I'm thinking about doing this kind of post regular when I've finished watching a show as I'm tv mad (sado ha ha) and I'm always on the look out for good show recommendations!

And yes...that is a cow in the lab in one of the images! ;)

What I'm Wearing

*River Island Skirt*Newlook Jumper* Asda pumps*Ebay necklace*
I know this is a little blurry but the best I could do in a rush! The skirt is one I found in some sales at the beginning of the year and I love it, it's the one I'm pictured in, in another post and I find that it's so easy to just pick it up when i don't know what to wear. The jumper is thin but keeps me warm enough when the weather can't make up it's mind and I love the colour.
