What I'm wearing

*Topshop top* H&M Jeggings* River Island Boots* Newlook Bag*
I wore this out when I went to catch up with a friend and have a few drinks, pretty simple again but I like that kind of look, patterns and bold colours are something that I'm working my way towards! Nothing really exciting has been happening in my world lately, job hunting is still very depressing but there could be some good news around the coroner has I've been in touch with a recruiter so fingers crossed! Also maybe planning a trip back to uni for the start of freshers week to see a friend whose still there which could be fun!

Whats in my Bag?

I personally love being nosey about what people have in their bags, probably one of my favourite things to look at on other peoples blogs so I thought I'd done one myself! My bags relatively new, I bought it around March after the one I was using completely gave up on me (broken straps and all) I'm not really a big lover of day bags- I love a good clutch though! So I bought fairly cheap on from Newlook that's big enough to fit whatever I want in. Though I rarely carry more than my phone, keys and purse with me! I guess I'm just not that attached to handbag stuff! haha

  • My Purse, Kind of speaks for itself about whats it's in there for! I don't have any store cards/credit cards. It simply contains my railcard, debit card, provisional driving license and of course money!
  • So....? Sinful, Another easy one to explain especially since we've had lots of nice weather resently, just hand to have about if I want to freshen up!
  • Plasters, I don't know about everyone else but I always go out in shoes that rub me, I own maybe one pair of shoes that don't give me blisters (ew) so I've learnt to keep a small supply handy!
  • Book, because I still get about on the peasant wagon aka Bus I spend a lot of my time hanging about bus stops looking like I have no friends, so I generally carry a book about with me. I get a few funny looks, I like to think it's because people wonder why I don't have an Ipad or Kindle! rare to see a real life book these days ;) I also wanted to start reading more after uni so this was a good way to fit it in to my day to day life!
  • Jobseekers appointment card, this evil booklet just stays at the bottom of my bag, basically have to show it whenever my sign on day is. I hope to get rid of it soon (someone employ me please!)
  • Keys, Pretty self explanatory but I like to buy keyrings so I've got more key rings than keys on it, there's also a cool bottle opener from a cracker which has come in handy many times when I've been out!
  • Phone, I'd die if I lost or broke my phone, I'm not constantly on it and I don't even have a data bundle which lets me use the internet when I'm not connected to free wifi but I love it simply for keeping in touch with people. I'll always reply to texts!
  • Bits and Bobs, just lip stuff, hair bobble and a pen. The kind of every day boring stuff that everyone seems to collect in the bottom of coat pockets and bags!
Hope people found that interesting enough, not very exciting I guess! but there you go. Maybe when I do this post again I'll have invested in cool gadgets...or a just got a different book ;)

What I'm Wearing

*Topshop T-shirt*H&M Jeggings*Asda pumps*Ebay Necklace* Newlook clutch*
I know the general "rule" for outfit posts is to see people in the outfit but I just feel a bit weird posing (for now) in my outfits, so I thought I could do this instead for a while until I A) find a good photo taking spot, B) get more comfortable with the idea of taking pictures of myself!

A pretty basic outfit as I was going to the cinema to see The Wolverine, didn't want to go see it at first but the showing times for everything else was rubbish so we settled on that! It was okay, personally I'm kind of over Wolverine having his own spin off films as I didn't like the first one and this wasn't much better. I do love the X-Men films as a whole though!

Graduation

Dress £15 from Primark (on Asos)

I really don't suit hats :\

Graduation finally happened this saturday, feels like I've been waiting for it to happen for ages! me and my family drove down the friday night before hand so we could get there in good time for the morning ceremony. I was pretty nervous because I've never been to any graduation before, but it was a lovely day. I was on the front row in a big hall, so I was on stage 7th! which was a bit scary but I got to watch other people go before me, we got called out one by one and had to shake the chancellor and vice chancellors hands, then remain standing after we went back to our seats and they then said something in Welsh before we could sit down, it was all very formal and surreal!
They were filming the ceremony for a DVD which you could buy and being on the front row my face kept appearing on massive screens throughout the whole hour and a half! so hard not to burst out laughing! haha. Also had to look really interested at the not to interesting parts. The hall was boiling and wearing the hats only made it worse, but it was still pretty cool and I'm glad I went. Afterwards we had lunch at a local whetherspoons, nothing fancy but a cold pint was so well received after the stuff hot heat of the hall! Then we went home to change and spent the rest of the day at a beach near Conway in glorious sunshine, it was so relaxing and peaceful. Brilliant way to spend the afternoon, for tea we'd booked a meal out at a curry place called Spicy Vujon-if you're ever in Bangor check it out, it's excellent! Then back to the hotel for a much needed sleep, don't ever realise how much travelling and big events takes it out of you. It was a lovely day and I think it finished off my time in Wales perfectly, sunny, relaxed and slightly proud of myself! Now back to the job hunting task...which is slightly wearing me down :\

Little Spends

Even though I don't have a lot of money at the moment I could resist buying myself a few bits! the first is a clutch which I got from ebay, sadly I haven't yet had an occasion to wear it to but I think it'll be a nice edition to my wardrobe and I'll get a good few nights out with it! The pumps are ones I've wanted for ages, very late to the stud party but I'm finally there! plus they were a steal at £5 from Asda!

Life has been pretty boring at the moment, mainly been applying for jobs with little success and enjoying the nice weather alone (boo :( ) but I'm away for the weekend to graduate finally! dress has been bought, hotel book, meal booked and now all I have to do is turn up and wear the gown!

June Reads

So with being jobless and having a rubbish internet (can't watch any tv :( ) i've taken to reading again. When I was younger I used to whizz through books and really enjoyed it, i've got a little collection one ones I've bought myself and it was something I used to get a lot of enjoyment out of. Then, well I "grew up" and other things became more important, watching the latest ep of a tv show, films, social networking sites all that kind of electronic stuff that takes you away from sitting down and being able to let yourself be absorbed by a good book.

So far I've managed to read 3 books this month, not bad going considering I've not even read 3 in the past 3 years at uni! awful I know! I thought I'd start light and girlie, clearly these books aren't war and peace but it's a nice start to get myself back in to reading for longer chunks of time, as my concentration span has been awful with shiny fast tv shows and apps!

My thoughts on them all

  1. PS, I Love You- Very much a weepy girl book, but I loved it. I'm a sucker for a everlasting love kind of story and this was pretty sweet and cute. The main character is likeable and I was drawn in to the story and eager to find out how it was going to end actually. I can't say much because I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but a good read!
  2. A Place Called Home- This was totally not what I was expecting, the book is quite sureal and you'll have to go with the flow and be open to the weird going ons. Honestly, I felt a little let down in the end with the main womans story and felt it was kind of well...pointless. There is another male character whose sub-story is very engaging though and really made me think!
  3. Tenth Circle- This was a slow burn for me, took me ages to really get in to it. Rather a dark book about the after effects of rape, but if you can stick with it and give it a shot it's so good! The book revolves around finding out whether or not the victim is lying about who did it, but there are loads of twists, turns and surprises! really had me gripped. Another nice addiction is a comic strip after each chapter which links in to the main plot as the father of the girl is a comic artist for Marvel!

OOTD

* Skirt, River Island * Top: H &M *
I wore this for a trip to the cinema, simple and comfy to sit in for a long period of time. I bought this skirt a a few months ago and it's become a favourite of mine, so many things go with it and it's so easy to wear when the weathers being crazy! I went to go see the latest Star Trek film and I really enjoyed it, I love scifi stuff and I'm a massive Voyager fan! so complaints from me :)
